How does the late night snack wheel work?
Press Spin. The slice under the pointer is the snack. Shuffle pulls eight different bites from a list of midnight foods. Edit the wheel lets you type your own, one per line, so it only lands on what you actually keep in the house.
The list mixes the loud snacks (mozzarella sticks, onion rings, popcorn chicken, ice cream) with things that are easier to sleep after (yogurt, miso soup, a banana, warm milk). A list you type stays in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Match the snack to the hour
If you still have to be up, spin the fried and salty lists. If you want to sleep, tap Lighter first so the wheel can’t land on a pint of ice cream.
Two people, one kitchen
Each of you adds two snacks. One spin, no debate in the dark.
What’s already here
Type the four things in the fridge. The wheel can only pick those.
What are the lighter late night snacks?
Tap Lighter. The wheel fills with yogurt, fruit, miso soup, edamame, hummus, turkey roll-ups, a banana with peanut butter, warm milk and similar bites. They are smaller and usually less greasy than the fried list. Nothing here promises you won’t gain weight. A smaller portion is just easier to sleep on.
Fried, Sweet, Salty and Hot work the same way. Tap a list again for a new mix of eight. If you want a chain instead of a snack, the fast food wheel spins McDonald’s, Taco Bell and the rest.
Why spin for a snack instead of opening the fridge?
The fridge at midnight turns into a search with no stop. A wheel ends it in a few seconds. If the result makes you groan, you just learned what you actually wanted, so eat that.
It also keeps a whole bag from becoming the plan. You asked for one slice, not the entire list.
What if I’m actually hungry for a meal?
Then this is the wrong wheel. A snack list will not feed a real dinner. Use the what to eat for dinner generator or the dinner wheel. For any dish at all, the random food generator has a Dessert chip and a full meal list.
If you want a real place that’s still open, Today’s Mealow looks up restaurants near you and picks three dishes. Say it’s a late meal and what you skip. It’s free in the browser.
Need a real place, not a snack name? The cat checks what’s near you.

Is the late night snack wheel free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no sign-up.
Can I spin only lighter snacks?
Yes. Tap Lighter. You’ll get yogurt, fruit, soup, edamame and the other smaller bites, not the fried ones.
Does it know what’s open near me?
No. The wheel doesn’t use your location. The app does.
Can I remove a snack after it wins?
Tick “Remove the winner after each spin” if you’re picking a few nights of snacks and don’t want repeats.
What about a normal food wheel?
The food wheel covers meals, not just midnight. Spin that when the question is dinner, not a snack.
