Tap Pick a restaurant and it chooses one kind of restaurant at random from 37, such as a taqueria, a ramen shop, a Greek taverna or a Korean BBQ place. Each pick shows what that kind of place usually serves. The filters keep it to Asian, Americas, European, or Middle Eastern and African.
It picks a type of restaurant, not a specific one. That's on purpose: you know which taquerias and Thai places are near you, and the generator doesn't. Once it lands on a type, you only have to think of the one or two nearby that fit. Nothing you tap is saved or sent anywhere.

Can it pick a random restaurant near me?
This generator can't see where you are, so it only picks the type of restaurant. For picks from real restaurants near you, Today's Mealow asks six questions, like what cuisine you want, who you're with and what you don't eat, then chooses three dishes nearby, each with a one-line reason.
